DEMAND A CEASEFIRE &
RESTORE FUNDING TO UNRWA
When the UN released its finding that Israel is plausibly committing genocide in Gaza, Israel’s response was to allege that 12 of the 33,000 workers for the United Nations Relief Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) had taken part in the October 7th attacks.
There has been no verification of that allegation (and US Intelligence gave it “low confidence”), but President Biden’s response was to withdraw U.S. funding for UNRWA. With half a million Gazans facing starvation, this was a disastrous decision and a clear case of collective punishment, a war crime.
Biden must reverse his position, restore funding, and call for a ceasefire so that food, water, and medicine may reach the Palestinians in Gaza.

In response to citizen pressure, lawmakers in Sacramento have introduced over half a dozen bills to combat the utilities’ attack on rooftop solar, which last year in California slowed installations to a crawl and killed 17,000 jobs.
